Cassie & Mark's Wedding

Cassie and Mark have chosen to make a donation to the S.D. Ireland Cancer Research in lieu of favors at their October 2007 Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Cassie's Great Grandmother and four Aunts have been diagnosed with breast cancer and several other family members have had different types of Cancer. Thus, Cassie and Mark have a personal interest in supporting Cancer Research.

Moped Country’s Final stop- Breakwater Cafe in Burlington VT

Team Moped country, Nick Girard and Kevin Corkrum and Tom Sands Team will be arriving in Burlington Sept 6th after traveling 4600 miles across the USA on Mopeds at an average speed of 20 Miles an hour.(www.mopedcountry.com) They have retraced the path of the first automotive road trip done by Horatio Nelson Jackson back in 1903, while raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. Moped Country will be donating a portion of these funds to the SD Ireland Cancer Research Fund- right here in Burlington VT.

Breathe some fire into your summer! Ride the dragon!

SD Ireland Cancer Research Fund is getting involved in the 2nd Annual Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday August 5, 2007 at Waterfront Park in Burlington, VT. They are the proud sponsor of the Breast Care Center’s team “It’s Not Just Luck” in a heart-stirring day of racing dragon boats that just can’t be beat. Dragonheart Vermont, a breast cancer survivor and supporter dragon boat team in the Burlington area, is hosting this day of fun, fitness and fundraising. The beneficiaries this year are Dragonheart and VNA’s Hospice of Champlain Valley and the Vermont Respite House, the state’s only home for the terminally ill. SD Ireland Cancer Research Fund is proud to be a part of a wonderful event right here in the Burlington area. Pretty In Pink Night!

Friday July 20th SD Ireland Cancer Research Fund is teaming up with the Vermont Lake Monsters for Pretty in Pink Night. The Vermont Lake Monsters will be hosting the Jamestown Jammers (Florida Marlins Affiliate). 1,000 mini bat pom-poms to be given away at the gate. Pink Carnations for the ladies will be available for a $1.00 donation to the SD Ireland Cancer Research Fund. Players will wear Pink Jerseys which will be available for sale after the game.
